Paper Filing: If you choose to file on paper, please submit the original petition along with two copies to the Clerk of Courts Office, along with the filing fee and self-addressed stamped envelopes for service.   The Clerk of Courts office will assign a docket number and forward your documents to the Orphans' Court Judge. An Order of Court will subsequently be filed in the Clerk of Courts office, and a copy will be sent to the Petitioner for service. Hearing dates and times will be scheduled by the Court.

When filing on paper, it is the duty of the moving party to furnish the Clerk with sufficient copies of such documents. If the filing or order is to be mailed, the moving party shall also furnish the postage, pre-paid envelope with the name and address of the recipient set forth thereon. If sufficient copies are not provided, the Clerk shall make sufficient copies and charge the moving party a fee established by administrative order. Additionally, the Clerk may assess postage fees against any moving party who fails to furnish a pre-paid envelope as required by Administrative Order Number 25 of 2015.
