Yes. If you include a self‑addressed, stamped envelope with your payment, we will mail a receipt back to you.
You may also make your payment in person at the office and receive a receipt immediately.

If your Nunc Pro Tunc Petition is being filed to request permission to appeal a Magisterial District Judge (MDJ) decision:
• You must file the Nunc Pro Tunc Petition with two copies first
• If the petition is granted, you may then file the actual appeal.
If the case already exists in the Court of Common Pleas:
• The Nunc Pro Tunc Petition must be e‑filed through the Pennsylvania Judiciary Web Portal (PACFile).
Please note that the Clerk of Courts Office does not provide Nunc Pro Tunc Petition forms.
You have 30 days from the date you were found guilty at the Magisterial District Judge to appeal your citation. Complete the
Notice of Appeal from Summary Criminal Conviction and send the completed form along with a check or money order to the Clerk of Courts Office. You may contact the Magisterial District Judge for any information required on the form.
You must file an original and a copy of the Notice of Appeal with the Clerk of Courts office. You must include the Clerk of Courts filing fee as well as the filing fee for the Prothonotary of Superior Court. Two separate checks are required at the time of filing. A complete set of docket entries should be filed with the Notice of Appeal for the Clerk to send to Superior, Supreme, or Commonwealth Courts.
File the original Petition for Expungement with two copies along with the filing fee. The filing fee is payable by cash, check, or money order to the Clerk of Courts Office. Credit Cards are accepted by going to
allpaid.com. Please refer to the Rules of Criminal Procedure, the Adams County Local Criminal Rules and statutory authority for contents of order for expungement.
You will need to file an original and two copies of the
Application for Informa Pauperis petition. If the petition is denied, petitioner will be responsible for the filing fee. Refer to rules of court for service on petitions. Forms can be obtained by going to the courts
self-help page.

You must file an original and two copies of the
Motion for Continuance with the Clerk of Courts office. If the continuance request is made prior to sentencing, there is no filing fee. If the request is made post-sentencing, there is a filing fee for each continuance due to filing. Refer to Rules of Court for service on petitions. Forms can be obtained in the Clerk of Courts office. Request for continuance of any court proceeding should be filed at least 72 hours before the scheduled event.
Bail is not refundable until the full and final disposition which includes the appeal period. Unless a Motion to Retain Bail Deposit has been filed, bail is automatically refunded to the surety less administrative fees authorized by law within 20 days of full and final disposition.
