Dog License Fees

Dog License Fees

State law requires all dogs must be licensed at the time of purchase (legal at 8 weeks), or by three months old, whichever comes first. Owners of unlicensed dogs are subject to fines not to exceed $500.00.  The license is valid from January 1st until December 31st. Enforcement of the state dog law in Adams County is performed by State Dog Warden Jimi McClane, Phone: 717-756-4350.

Senior Citizen Licenses are available to residents who are 65 or older. Licenses for persons with disabilities are available to individuals who meet the requirements of the state’s disability affidavit and qualify as a “person with a disability” as defined in Section §102 of the Pennsylvania Dog Law.
